In the final part of this holiday special edition, we’re diving into recommendations for viewing, listening, and reading. Across the contributors there’s an eclectic bunch of references and I would guess there’s something for everyone here.
Ever wondered what publishers like Jane Morrow read when they have time off, or the viewing habits of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor-like stunt double? Looking for a Christmas playlist or two? Or a banging cover of Fairytale of New York? Those questions and more are answered. I found much here that I noted down to consume over coming months. And while I suggest a few recommendations myself I’d say hit the Something for the Weekend posts in the Between Meals archive for my recommendations over the year.
Whereas parts one and two were a little longer, and broken into many sections, essays and recipes, this third part is designed to get you straight into the recommendations and make it as usable as possible. Not everything is linked, as to be honest that was a task too far. But maybe I’ll hop in and do that after Christmas.
For now enjoy these sections, broken into Listen, Watch and Read. Please do share the newsletter with like-minded readers. These three parts, close to 20000 words and pushing 100 global contributors has been a Herculean task, but one that has been thoroughly enjoyable.
As you know this is a reader supported publication so signing up for a paid subscription makes all the difference. Not sure if it’s for you, well you could just hit the 7-day free trial.
